Job description
About Millennium
Millennium is a global, diversified alternative investment firm, founded in 1989. Defined by evolution, innovation and focus, Millennium's mission is to deliver results for our investors.
Our people are empowered with both independence and support: the autonomy to pursue ideas with conviction and the backing of a global network committed to collaboration, disciplined risk management and continuous learning. With opportunities to deepen expertise and accelerate development, talent at Millennium is equipped to adapt, evolve and build lasting impact over time. Discover how transformative growth accelerates impact.
Meet the Team
The firm's multi-manager model needs flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems, including the next generation of analytical and trading tools. The Fixed Income Technology team builds and supports the trading platforms, position and risk management systems, data, infrastructure and tools used by our Fixed Income and Credit portfolio managers. Within it, the PM Engagement team is the front door for PM teams. It onboards new teams, gets them to adopt our platforms, and turns what they need into work for our engineering teams. The team is based in New York, London and Singapore.
What You'll Do
- Be the primary technology contact for Fixed Income and Credit PM teams in the Americas. Build trusted relationships and understand each team's strategy and day-to-day workflow.
- Run onboarding for new Senior PMs and their teams, from pipeline to go-live. Assess before the start date whether we can support their strategy and products, then coordinate trading, risk, PnL, market data and access setup across engineering teams until each team is fully up and running.
- Drive adoption of our internal application suite, including our analytics and pricing library, position, risk and PnL platforms, market data and charting tools, and front-office analytics. Lead PM teams through migrations from legacy platforms, including moving their workflows and spreadsheets onto current systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues, including risk, PnL, market data, access and booking problems. Route each to the right engineering team and follow it through to resolution, keeping the ticket backlog current and accurate.
- Capture PM requirements and feedback, turn them into clear, prioritised requests, and work with engineering teams to deliver them. Prioritise fairly across many PM teams and push back where needed.
- Promote practical AI adoption among PM teams. Demo and train PMs on AI tools, and use them to automate the team's own reporting and support work.
- Report pipeline status, onboarding progress, engagement activity and adoption to senior technology and business stakeholders, working with counterparts in London and Singapore.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in front-office technology at an investment bank, buy-side firm, exchange or software vendor, in a role facing traders or PMs.
- Strong Fixed Income and Credit knowledge across products, trading, pricing, analytics and risk, and how these show up in trading and risk systems.
- A track record of translating trader or PM needs into actionable requirements and delivering them with engineering teams.
- Strong organisation and follow-through: able to run several onboardings and many open issues at once without losing track.
- Clear, concise communication with PMs, developers and senior stakeholders, and the ability to demo tools clearly and convincingly.
- Python and SQL skills, and hands-on use of AI coding and analysis tools, are strongly preferred.
Salary Range
Millennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
